The Golden Rule is universal.

Lois turns off a secret recording of Superman just before he reveals his secret identity. In gratitude, Superman offers to take her to three different time eras where they will both live for a time, with him in disguise. If she discovers his identity in any of the other times, he will tell her his modern-day secret identity. For the first test they travel to ancient Troy, where she takes the place of the incomparable beauty Hellene.

Lois takes the place of Cinderella and Mr. Mxyzptlk is her unexpected "fairy godmother." She is sure that Superman is disguised as the Prince, but he turns out to be her wicked stepmother.

Lois takes the place of nurse Florence Nightingale and tries to figure out which of the men around her in the Crimean War (including Dr. Louis Pasteur) is secretly Superman, but she fails again.
