Returning to Metropolis several weeks after her sister's death, Lois quits her job at the Daily Planet so that she can work freelance on important stories. She also tells Superman that they are finished, and moves into an apartment with three roommates.

The Thorn tracks Lois Lane to her apartment while reflecting on a new battle plan against the 100 that will involve Lois and Superman.

Lois and Lana each use a super-computer to try and learn how to get Superman to marry her.
