Electronics whiz Tako Shamara comes from a long line of dragon hunters who have waited five hundred years for the Wani to rear its ugly head again. When his ancient enemy appears from the waters of New York, Tako dons his Dragon Lord gear and resumes the battle his ancient ancestor first fought in 1582. The battle destroys his home and nearly kills his family. Tako realizes that his hatred of this monster has nearly cost him everything he holds dear. He then uses his magic to take control of the Wani and after controlling it to save his family, causes it to vanish back into the past.

Iron Man stops Battleaxe from stealing uranium by offering him Hostess Fruit Pies instead.

  • A Hero Is Also a Man! - Originally drawn as a Godzilla story, the monster was altered slightly and the story revised when Marvel lost the rights to the character. Tako conjures up two different mystic monsters to fight the Wani with both being defeated. The first was a huge bulky humanoid orange monster, while the second was a fuchsia colored demonic entity with a long stretchy body.
