Ambush Bug, clad in work coveralls, removes the ?Superman? logo from this cover, leaving it discarded on the ground. He replaces it with a green-lettered, self-painted ?Ambush Bug? banner ? much to the displeasure of the Man of Steel.

Superman must contend with ?John Doe?, an escaped convict equipped with sonic-blaster-cuffs supplied by The Monitor, and inexplicable bouts of temporary amnesia.
